Are you eating quality calories? How many of your calories are coming from protein? Fat? Carbohydrates?
You can easily calculate how many calories come from each macronutrient with the following definitions!
For every 1 gram of fat you consume, you take in 9 calories
For every 1 gram of carbohydrates you consume, you take in 4 calories.
For every 1 gram of protein you consume, you take in 4 calories.
For every 1 gram of alcohol you consume, you take in 7 calories.
For example, my morning breakfast shake has 4.0g fat, 25.0g carbs, and 24.0g protein. Therefore, 36 calories come from fat, 100 calories come from carbs and 96 calories come from protein and the shake all together has 232 calories.
